Account Group Manager - Market Research (02-07-005-DC)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under technical direction oversees all phases of survey and market research studies for assigned clients by either performing or supervising the performance of activities required for successful studies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a combination of the following duties according to departmental guidelines:
· Oversees all phases of project management including, but not limited to, questionnaire design and implementation, sample selection, fieldwork monitoring and data collection and analyses. Ensures that all activities are done accurately, efficiently, within budget and in a timely manner
· Meets with clients to fully understand their needs in order to provide quality service. Communicates with client regarding progress and/or possible modifications to the program
· Works with other areas (coding, data processing, sales, etc.) to ensure that the needs of the client are addressed
· Assists in the creation of reports and presentations which address client issues
· Provides guidance and supervision to less experienced staff to ensure the accurate and timely execution of research projects
· Stays current on trends and developments in the area of market research
· Performs other essential duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Master’s degree or PhD in Social Science, Business or related field or equivalent in experience
· Minimum of four years survey or market research experience or equivalent in education
· Strong understanding of the organization’s philosophy and objectives as they relate to performing survey and market research projects
· Complete knowledge of the department’s policies and practices as they relate to survey and market research initiatives
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external clients
· Ability to supervise and advise junior level staff
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize handle and oversee projects through completion
· Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
· Good analytical skills
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, statistical packages such as SPSS or SAS, and other business-related software systems.
