The Weber Shandwick Minneapolis office has an exciting opportunity for an Account Group Manager to join our growing Healthcare practice. This is an opportunity to join an industry leading Healthcare practice and be involved in planning world class public relations programs. Qualified candidates will have experience working with both healthcare clients, and will be creative, well-rounded practitioners who are strong in account management, media relations and writing. Also important is the ability to contribute to strategic thinking and the development and execution of PR programs.
The Account Group Manager’s responsibilities include: Serving as day-to-day client liaison Providing strategic counsel to clients while managing implementation of a variety of projects and client budgets Managing planning and execution of large-scale consumer events National media relations Branding, launching product and strategy Participating in new business initiatives and staff development
Job Qualifications/ Requirements: BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field Minimum of 7+ years PR experience required; agency experience requiredStrong media relations skills Experience managing a healthcare public relations account and strong client interactions The ability to contribute to strategic thinking and the development and execution of PR programs.
