Our rapidly expanding practice seeks a Junior Account Executive for New Business Development and a Senior Account Executive in our Account Services group.
Junior Account Executive for New Business Development:
The JAE supports the account team by executing project tasks as necessary to enable the team to better manage projects.
Responsibilities
· Supports account team
· Schedules and prepares materials for internal new business team meetings
· Documents client contacts (via e-mail), requests (change orders), and meetings (conference reports) concisely and accurately
· Maintains pitch checklists
· Performs research as directed by supervisor
· Organizes and manages conference schedules
· Organizes and manages organizations and society meetings
· Prepares materials for presentations
· Assists with pre and post mailings
· Helps maintain ACT database
· Attends kick-off meetings
Knowledge, Education and Experience
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Excellent research/data entry skills
· Ability to manage numerous projects, requests, and responsibilities
· Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
· Bachelor degree, preferably in marketing, or communications field
· Agency internship ideal
· Demonstrated leadership experience/potential
· College leadership experience (student government, fraternity or sorority leadership role, RA, newspaper, yearbook etc.)
Senior Account Executive for Account Services:
The SAE serves as the client’s primary contact within the agency to represent the client’s requests and point of view. This position is responsible for all facets of project management, including planning, developing, and implementing client initiatives, ongoing client satisfaction, as well as identifying and organizing growth opportunities with the client by building client relationships, establishing and monitoring budgets, ensuring adherence to timelines, identifying and enlisting resources, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of the final deliverable product.
Responsibilities
Client management
– Supports Account Supervisor and Account Director in cultivating and building solid relationships with clients
– Documents client contacts (via e-mail), requests (change orders), and meetings (conference reports) concisely and accurately
– Prepares and sends materials to clients and authors/speakers
– Performs research as directed by supervisor
– Keeps entire agency apprised of client activities and needs
– Initiates and executes all projects
– Identifies and organizes growth opportunities within current client base, as well as new business development
– Provides effective direction to agency team
– Functions as internal team leader, ensuring that all members of the team work together smoothly and effectivelyProject management
– Builds, maintains, and drives timelines—projects must be on time
– Works closely with operations department to develop cost estimates prior to project initiation and routinely review estimate as project progresses
– Reviews monthly billing Creative and scientific output
– Provides client/brand backgrounder approved by AS/AD for new clients prior to project kickoff meeting
– Provides creative/scientific team with complete briefing document, which has been approved by AS/ADNew business
– Assists with research as directed by AS/AD
– Develops project proposals
– Assists AS/AD in proposal development
Knowledge, Education and ExperienceWorking knowledge of pharmaceutical industryProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to monitor competitor and industry developmentsAbility to function as team leaderBasic understanding of marketing principalsBasic understanding of science and drug therapyBachelor degree (minimum), preferably in the health sciences, marketing, or communications fieldMandatory 3-5 years of pharmaceutical and/or agency experience
