DescriptionBASIC FUNCTION:The Account Director oversees and manages the overall efficiency and revenue growth, development and profitability of multiple accounts. Recognized by staff and Clients as a comprehensive source of marketing expertise, the Account Director is a model for business leadership. Provides inspiration and strategic vision for the Account Team with a broad, agency-wide responsibility for ensuring all departments work together to provide a consistent level of agency product and service delivery. Account Directors identify Client business needs and assist them in developing successful solutions; they are ultimately responsible for delivering satisfaction and value to Clients and delivering revenue growth to the Agency. The Account Director possesses a sufficient level of financial acumen to manage business decisions associated with the account service team.Required SkillsPrevious experience that enables this individual to communicate and relate to the most senior levels of our client’s organization. Well-connected/networked in the Direct Marketing industry and/or related fields. Working knowledge of all the components of DM business having come up through the ranks or by having a particular area of expertise, e.g., Production/Database. Must exhibit leadership and mentoring qualities, with excellent interpersonal, presentation and written skills.Required Experience• Minimum 10 years Direct Marketing experience with an integrated perspective. Strong strategic skills required.• Experience in Financial Services required; Health & Beauty a plus.• Agency and account management experience with strong client-facing and relationship management skills. Experience on the client side of the business, preferred.• Possess an established track record of successful growth on an individual piece of business. Successful track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.• Proven experience in managing teams working cross-functionally within an organization.
