3D Developer - Interactive Media
As a 3D Developer, you will be expected to build and texture polygonal 3D models in 3ds max from photographic reference and/or CAD data. You will be expected to animate 3D models in 3ds max, demonstrating a knack for the elements that makeup compelling animations including pacing, timing, blocking, and framing. You will also be asked to create, publish, optimize, and integrate 3D models into rich media web applications using our proprietary development tools as well as HTML, JavaScript and XML.
A 3D Developer should be able to accurately estimate the time needed to complete an assignment as well as juggle multiple assignments within a fast paced work environment. He or she will be expected to maintain clear communications with a project's Producer throughout its lifecycle. He or she will also be expected to keep up with advances in technology and provide feedback to Engineering in appropriate forums.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 3+ years of professional experience building, texturing and animating polygonal 3D models in a production environment.
· Thorough understanding of building, texturing and animating 3D models.
· Thorough understanding of texture creation from photographs.
· Willingness to master our proprietary technology and suite of development tools.
· Proficiency in Autodesk’s 3ds Max and Adobe’s Photoshop.
· Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript and XML scripting.
· Familiarity with both Flash animation and ActionScript.
· Ability to breakdown a project into its various components and apply efforts efficiently.
· Ability to work with Art Directors, Producers, Animators, and Programmers under tight deadline.
· Possesses excellent problem solving and communication skills.
· Strives to be efficient in their workflow.
· Maintains an attention to detail while meeting a project's overall goals.
· Experience in the game, television, film or print industries will be considered.
· Experience working with the automotive industry is a plus.
EDUCATION:
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in a discipline such as computer art, 3D animation or architecture. However applicants with strong portfolios and appropriate work experience will also be considered.
