We are  seeking  candidates  for the  position of Vice  President  of Administration and Finance.
Â
This position will oversee and direct administrative and financial services for Rocky Vista University including Finance Department, Office of Human Resources, Engineering, Maintenance and Security Department, Office of Financial Aid and Office of Information Technology. Oversee budget development, management and reporting, fiscal operations and auditing, grant and contract financial administration, assist with strategic and financial planning, create and implement policies and procedures, oversee personnel operations, perform and report financial statistical analysis and modeling.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Â
    1.   Plan, develop, implement and direct all aspects of Rocky Vista University’s
         administrative and financial policies, objectives and initiatives.
   2.      Oversee all financial functions including accounting, formulation, monitoring
          and presentation of budgets, contracts and grants.
   3.      Develop, implement and oversee short and long term financial and
         operational goals to ensure that they advance the mission and vision of the
         Rocky Vista University.
   4.      Develop and implement policies and procedures in financial and
         administrative services and establish core competencies and organizational
         values for personnel of Rocky Vista University.
   5.      Provide administrative and financial management support to the Dean and
         other administrators and faculty of the Rocky Vista University.
   6.      Develop and implement RVU’s internal audit policy and procedures.    Â
   7.      Oversee and direct annual internal audits and report results to the auditing,
          budget and finance committee of the Board of Directors and to the Dean.
   8.      Work with Administration to create/update annual operating plans that allow
          the organization to meet current and future educational and scientific goals
         within budget constraints.
   9.      Oversee and direct evaluation and administration of the financial aspects of
          research proposals and grants including assistance with the development of a
         budget, proposal preparation and adherence to funding requirements.Â
   10.  Oversee budget requests and formal budget revisions as required for Rocky
         Vista University.
   11.  Oversee and approve the cash, cash-related receipts, accounts receivable
         and accounts payable for the Rocky Vista University to ensure timely
         processing of billings and payments and sound financial operations for Rocky
         Vista University.
   12.  Develop, implement, and evaluate the policy and procedures that regulate the
         day-to-day operations of the University including but not limited to HR policy,
         budget and finance policy, and Information Technology policy.Â
   13.  Responsible for the daily operations of the University including budgeting,
         allocation of resources and supervision of staff and H.R. functions of the
         University. Â
   14.  Prepare, negotiate, and oversee contracts with other entities of the University
         as well as outside agencies.
   15.  Oversee and directs administrative details and financial operations of the
         University and its College of Osteopathic Medicine and Clinic, including the
         preparation of budget, financial reports and ensure compliance with legal and
         regulatory requirements.
   16.  Serves as liaison and represents the University to public, private, educational
         and governmental representatives and agencies in the areas of general
         administration
         and finance.
   17.  Create and maintain computerized files and databases for financial
         information and operations of the University.
   18.  Oversee and monitor faculty and staff time and effort reporting for grants and
         contracts and ensure that it is in compliance with the provisions of the grant
         and all regulatory and legal requirements for the University.
   19.  Oversee and monitor all financial aid operations to ensure they meet the
         needs of the students and are in compliance with all applicable state and
         federal laws and regulatory agencies.
   20.  Serve on committees at the request of the President and /or his/her designee
    21.  Other duties as assigned by the President and/or his/her designee.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
 Knowledge, demonstrated skill and experience in finance operations, accounting and Human Resource management and supervision of personnel. Knowledge, demonstrated skill and experience in financial management and operations in higher education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 Masters Degree with an active C. P. A. license. Five Years Experience in Management Position related to Business Affairs, Accounting, or Auditing in Higher Education.Â
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Â
    1.     A doctorate in higher education administration, business management or
          related field.
    2.      Experience as a Vice President of Administration and Finance at an
          accredited institution of Higher Education.
