VP of Billing

  This position is located in Richmond,VA.Relocation is available. Position SummaryThis position will have the key responsibility for ensuring that the billing department's staff is educated in all facets of billing and coding and is well organized with methods and procedures for those day-to-day activities that will enable the department to achieve its operational goals and objectives in support of the corporate mission. The primary role of this position is to direct, manage, and coordinate the company's billing and collection activities .This position is responsible for the entire billing and collections department, duties include but are not limited to: Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.  Â· Certified Professional Coder preferred· Must have working knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-9 codes· Experience working in a medical office preferred, but not required.· Plan, execute, budget, monitor performance, and continually improve the Billing Service Operations including identifying and correcting issues and implementing corrective actions· Primary resource for all incoming notifications regarding billing rules, regulations or regulatory issues and directs implementation activities related to company· Develops/directs corrective action plans to address any billing compliance issues that puts the company at financial risk· Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions· Analyze data from billing operations ensuring accuracy· Suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals, recommendations or procedure changes· Recruit, lead and direct billing staff· Advocate an example of team concept· Superior interpersonal communication: tactful, mature, flexible and professional· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; resourceful and organized· Assumes other duties as assigned by management· Understands and observes all confidentiality, compliance, and HIPAA provisions· Recognizes and conveys to management any departmental improvements necessary QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education  A college degree in Business with focus in Accounting & Finance is a must.     As an MPS Group and Fortune 1000 company, Accounting Principals is highly regarded as an industry leader.
