VP Derivatives Product Control

Analysis and Control of a multi-asset classed Buy Side firm

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Analyze trading performance including review of the key P&L drivers.

· Oversee the P&L analysis and attribution process. Serve as primary point of contact for the business

· Verify the accuracy of fund valuation including net asset value and performance against targeted benchmarks.

· Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Risk, and Credit teams to assess the risks involved with current and new trading strategies

· Ensure quality of control across all upstream and downstream processing groups.

· Help drive the implementation of the new technology initiatives.

· Work closely with Derivatives Middle Office, and interact daily with Portfolio Managers, Traders and Strategists.

 

Requirements:

 

· 5-7 years Current and Relevant experience in Product Control within a top tier firm.

· Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

· Strong quantitative skills, including derivative valuation.

· Proficiency in a wide range of derivative products including credit, interest rate and equity derivatives, mortgages, corporate bonds, cash, structured transactions, FX, and loans.

· Must have the ability to execute multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment. 

· Bachelor’s degree in related field; advanced degree / CPA preferred
