Trust Operations Representative II

Our trust company, MG Trust Company, LLC, is looking for a Trust Operations Representative II. 

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Trust Operations Supervisor and/or the Manager of Operations, processes manual and automated requests from Third Party Vendors and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), maintains IRA accounts, maintain new and closed account paperwork and provide superior customer service.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

·         Review and process TPA files and requests.

·         Process, balance and release daily settlement files.

·         Answer customer inquiries received via 800-phone line, correspondence and e-mails.

·         Process manual distribution requests in the form of checks, wires and ACHs.

·         Process billing charges for safekeeping/custodial work processed on a daily/monthly basis.

·         Maintain customer files and records.

·         Research inquiries from customers/clients to resolve any problems and ensure customer satisfaction.

·         Process manual purchase, distribution, move and maintenance requests for qualified plans and IRA accounts.

·         Process deposits received for IRA Rollovers.

·         Run all necessary reports and process required transactions.

·         Process necessary RMD calculations.

·         Write procedures for new or updated processes.

·         Recognizes, initiates, and leads improvement activities. 

·         Recognizes, reports, and escalates non-standard issues to management.

·         May perform other related duties as required.

 

Education:            

 Requires a High School education or equivalent with advanced business/technical school or college training preferred, and/or a minimum of five years applicable experience.                

Position Knowledge/Experience:      Minimum of three years of financial services experience - preferably related to trust or retirement plan operations - is required.Strong knowledge of retail trust business and its particular accounting and tax reporting requirements.Understanding of individual retirement accounts, retail registrations and distribution processing.Extensive use of PC and software applications is required.
