Treasury Accountant 4

The incumbent will partner with the Operations team and the Compliance team to:
- ensure all Treasury activities are in compliance with GAAP and Client policy.
- research and advise staff on specific technical accounting and internal control issues
- lead complex accounting projects.
- coordinate and monitor the SOX effort. Please note: This is not a SOX testing/documentation role; rather, the individual will need to understand the business and their processes related to the Treasury Function and will need to provide a critical review of SOX materials and offer advice and implement changes related to internal controls. This individual will make recommendations for process and control improvements to ensure reliable financial reporting.
- partner with Accounting/Operations to develop methodologies, assist in implementing processes or changes to accounting and control processes as necessary.



REQUIREMENTS

- 4+ years progressive accounting experience.

- BA/BS or MBA degree in accounting is required.
- Experience with financial reporting and complex accounting processes.
- Demonstrated leadership and initiative.

- Ability to work and make decisions independently and to work effectively on teams.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts and practices and demonstrated ability to interpret and apply guidelines.

- Ability to understand existing workflow and identify process improvements that will contribute to the effectiveness of our team.
- Ability to summarize issues and communicate findings and recommendations to management.

- CPA, Public Accounting, and Financial Services background a plus.
