Travel and Fiscal Supervisor
Job Purpose:
Provides office services by maintaining,  coordinating and supervising the daily operational activities of a Travel and Payroll Office. This includes supervising a staff of 4, preparing daily, weekly and monthly reporting deliverables, developing production statistical information, performing trend analysis and reviewing the work products of subordinate staff for accuracy. Selected staff must have knowledge of Federal Travel and or Payroll regulations and the application of these regulations to daily and unprecedented situations.
Duties:
* Accomplishes human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.* Meets office operational standards by contributing information to strategic deliverables and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.* Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes to current travel and payroll operations; ability to prepare financial and technical reports in accordance with regulations. Ability to analyze and interpret accounting and financial reports and data. * Improves employee competence by providing educational resources; balancing work requirements with learning opportunities; evaluating the application of learning to changes in work results.* Assesses customer and client satisfaction with services and resolves complaints by responding and implementing best practices; planning and directing improvement opportunities and follow-up.* Ability to manage escalated customer inquires and complaints and provide written recommendations to  satisfy customers.
Skills/Qualifications:
Federal payroll, Fedtraveler, Customer Service, Quality Management, People Management, Exceptional Oral and Written Communication skills.
