Technical Accounting Manager

Monitor emerging accounting and reporting standards from the FASB, EITF, SEC and AICPA to determine the impact, Take ownership of various technical accounting issues and work to resolve with accounting resources and through significant interaction with the external auditors. Develop and implement new accounting policy as appropriate and maintain all current accounting policy across Enterprise. Develop solid working relationships with the all lines of business, accounting department, external auditors and finance community by taking a leadership role with regard to resolution of specific technical accounting issues. Communicate technical accounting requirements and related financial statement impacts to the lines of business and accounting department. Research FASB and other technical pronouncements and develop a position and response to the appropriate accounting and regulatory bodies. Communicate new accounting developments periodically to key associates. Required:. Undergraduate degree in Accounting with a CPA . 4 to 7 years experience in accounting with private and/or public accounting experience . Demonstrated background in technical accounting . Strong written and verbal communication skills . SEC regulation and reporting experience .
