Team Lead- Claims, ECommerce and Compliance
Affinity Health Plan, an independent, growing, not-for-profit managed care company designed specifically to serve the needs of low-income New Yorkers, needs a Team Lead for its Systems Integration Department. In this role, you will supervise all applications that support the administrative and operational functions of the Claims, ECommerce and Compliance Departments. In this very visible position, you will investigate, analyze, design and implement cost effective solutions to business/technical issues, and provide business and technical supervision to team members in support of their assigned customer functional area(s). You will also analyze, investigate and help to develop proposed solutions to business sponsored initiatives. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to facilitating and coordinating resources in the analysis and development/implementation of software design, detailed specifications, software applications and enhancements, and the testing of such products/activities. You must possess the ability to supervise resources through excellent communication skills that facilitate supervisory responsibilities, and be capable of working closely with management, peers, analysts, programmers, and customers to ensure that the software integration or development, and implementation process is consistent with business requirements and industry accepted standards. You must also be a strong relationship builder, quick thinker, and possess a strong customer service mentality. Professional services experience is considered a definite plus.
Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant IT management and software development experience, and 2-3 years of Managed care experience supporting Claims, Marketing, Enrollment or Provider Configuration. You must have demonstrated expertise in project management and supervision of technical staff, business/systems analysis and design in a technical environment, and expertise in Managed Care, Health Care, or Insurance technical environments and the use of procedural languages, forth generation languages, and/or reporting tools. You must also have expert knowledge of structured development methodologies and project control techniques with excellent supervisory skills in business/system analysis, design, coding, and testing techniques, and experience in supervising and monitoring assigned resources and projects. This includes assisting in the determination of project planning, resource requirements, staff training, and obtaining cooperation from other departments, as well as budgetary responsibilities. Experience with Amisys, Facets, Medicare or Medicaid is a definite plus.
