The Position:

 

alliantgroup is currently in search of a Technical Advisor in our Tax Division to research and review tax law, case law and federal, state and local tax laws. This person must be research oriented and be able to analyze and report findings in an efficient and timely manner.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Ø  Researches and analyzes federal, state and local tax issues.

Ø  Reviews and approves tax research performed by others.

Ø  Analyzes industry-specific tax requirements and exemptions.

Ø  Plans and develops comprehensive tax documentation and methods using advanced technology.

Ø  Researches multistate taxability through various sources, including legal online databases and the Internet.

Ø  Analyzes and documents current, multistate tax laws and law changes.

 

The Requirements:

 

 

Ø  Excellent research skills

Ø  Bachelor's degree a must

Ø  Must have either J.D. or CPA License

Ø  Strong client service skills

Ø  Experience in preparing, amending, and reviewing corporate tax returns

Ø  Excellent Excel skills

Ø  Great attention to detail; Must be proactive, self-motivated and hard-working

Ø  Excellent verbal communication skills; Excellent follow through skills
