Tax Manager / Senior Manager

This is an excellent opportunity to join a quickly growing professional services consulting firm as a Tax Manager or Senior Manager. A Tax Manager is a CPA whose client responsibilities are second only to those of Principles, and are considered "Principles in training." Managers are primarily responsible for client relationships within their area of expertise and for clients assigned to them. Managers direct the work of staff, seniors and supervisors assigned to their client engagements. Tax return review, tax research and planning; dispute resolution with tax authorities (other than standard notice resolution); representing client in tax exams with all issues; field review; participation in pre-engagement meetings. The role consists of primarily SALT and Federal tax work.Who we're looking forRequirements:•  4+ years of tax experience at a public accounting firm, preferably a CPA firm in the Top 25 (see Crain's Top 25 list) -- public accounting experience must be recent; at most 3 years removed.•  CPA and/or Masters in Taxation is strongly desired.•  Experience working with privately-held clients is a plus.•  Industry experience in manufacturing, real estate, construction, not-for-profit, and government is strongly desired.About our clientMiller Cooper is a high-growth CPA firm ranked #11 in Chicago by Crain's business journal.
