Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager, who is ready to take the lead and assume the role of a Tax Partner in the next 1-3 years and who will help and share in the growth of the company. The manager would be in-charge of the tax practice and then grow into managing the overall practice, but more specifically:

 

Ø  Tax compliance, tax planning and research, and value added services.

 

Ø  Expand the practice by actively seeking new business from existing and new clients through an ongoing program of business development and by identifying areas of Federal or State tax laws that can save/defer taxes, monetize on dead assets, and tax credits that can be used by existing clients and a targeted industry.

 

Qualified Person MUST have:

 Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business with a CPA certification.Minimum of 5-7 years of public accounting experience. At least five of those in a Tax supervisory position.Outstanding verbal and written communication skillsEntrepreneurial sprit with strong work ethic, with a mindset of “doing whatever it takes to get the job done.â€�Must be proficient in computers and Microsoft business software.

We are a local CPA firm in Houston. We have been growing every year since the inception of practice in 1986. Our business plan calls for the size of the firm to double in the next 3-4 years. Our growth will come from the existing services and the leveraging of those services to our clients and targeting them to new clients. We understand that we have only two assets i.e. the clients and our staff.

 

We distinguish and pride ourselves by being entrepreneurial and having long relations with large and key clients, who value our services and expect us to identify areas of pit-falls and opportunities and provide them with solutions. We have been providing solutions to clients for the last 22 years, primarily in Texas, but also in Florida and Georgia, in three practice areas:

 

1) Audits, Reviews, Accounting, and

2) Tax Planning and preparation, other value added tax services, and

3) Business problem and dispute resolutions, business plans, and other general advisory services.

Salary and Benefits package

 

We will offer an above market compensation package, including a stake in the growth of the company to the right candidate.
