We are currently seeking an International Corporate Tax Manager to join us in our Washington National Tax (WNT) Practice in Washington, DC. KPMG's International Corporate Services (ICS) practice strives to help companies as they work to achieve tax efficiency in their international operations. From major multinationals already operating in several countries to small businesses planning their first foray abroad, companies face a daunting array of regulations and tax concerns that impact – and inform – their global business decisions. With international perspective and local experience, our ICS professionals provide practical advice on establishing new ventures and contracts, structuring overseas transactions in a tax-efficient manner, managing their effective tax rates, and maintaining compliance with tax and trade regulations. Responsibilities: - Provide tax planning to a full range of corporate clients, including major multinational clients, and work closely with other offices of KPMG LLP to provide those services to their clients - Work with other practice groups in WNT and member firms of KPMG throughout the world - Review tax memoranda and tax opinions - Instruct internal firm courses related to corporate taxation - Review articles and other risk management activities - Mentor junior staff Qualifications: - Five years of experience in establishing new ventures and contracts, structuring overseas transactions in a tax-efficient manner, managing effective tax rates, and maintaining compliance with tax and trade regulations. - Ability to work with clients on first chair basis - At least one of the following credentials: J.D or LLM from an accredited college/university or licensed CPA - Ability to work closely with other professionals and to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
