We are currently seeking a Federal Tax Manager to join the Financial Services group in our Chicago office. KPMG's Federal Tax Services practice is a resource for clients that need help complying with the latest IRS rules and regulations. Our tax professionals who handle federal tax issues bring the experience and commitment necessary to deliver tax compliance and advisory services to help meet our clients' specific needs. Responsibilities: * Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services including planning, research, compliance, and general mergers and acquisitions activities * Be well versed in the application of FASB 109 * Assist with new business development related to these tax services * Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on helping to provide industry knowledge and experience * Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members Qualifications: * Five years of corporate tax experience gained in a well-regarded audit, tax, or advisory services firm, corporation or law firm * Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters in the Financial Services industry, including provision and advisory experience * Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information * Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams * BA/BS degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university * CPA certificate KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
