Tax Manager - 80 - 90K Plus Bonus

Voted as one of the best companies to work for in Atlanta, this global multibillion dollar publicly traded company is seeking a Tax Manager to join it's NA Headquarters team.

 

Overview -You will manage the Company's income tax compliance process, and assist the UK in worldwide financial tax reporting and income tax audits. This position will also schedule work assignments in all functional areas, and provide day-to-day technical guidance and training to staff to ensure the timely filing of all income tax forms.

 

Technical Skills and Knowledge -Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation, including the ability to plan, delegate work and manage a tax compliance process within deadlines and budgets. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax laws and regulations. Demonstrated knowledge of financial accounting principles and concepts. Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency with Excel, Word, and FastTax/Insource softwares, or similar. Demonstrated ability to use best practices in order to minimize tax liability for a corporation. Demonstrated effective tax planning and research skills. Demonstrated ability to resolve and coordinate tax examinations with foreign, federal, state and local IRS auditors and supervisors. Demonstrated knowledge of tax accounting and preparation of financial statements on US and UK GAAP basis.

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. CPA designation required. 6+ years progressive work-related experience in preparing federal and state corporate income taxes in a public accounting firm or equivalent in industry, with at least 3 years of supervisory/team leader experience.
