KPMG LLP provides audit, tax and advisory services to a broad range of clients. KPMG's commitment to its clients is demonstrated in our client service delivery approach with cross-functional teams that extend across industry segments. We are currently seeking an Associate to join us in our San Francisco office. KPMG's Global Grants Program (GGP) is a National Federal Tax Practice responsible for the day-to-day delivery of advisory services to clients throughout the country. GGP assists private foundations and public charities in the development and administration of their grant making programs, including conducting pre-grant evaluations and grant expenditure evaluations of potential and existing grant recipients. The Global Grants Program helps new tax exempt organizations develop efficient and effective grant-making processes that comply with tax law requirements. GGP also assists established organizations in reviewing and/or modifying their existing grant making programs to help employ best practices, and operate efficiently and effectively. GGP works closely with client service personnel in KPMG offices worldwide. Responsibilities: * Conduct grant expenditure evaluations and financial analysis of ongoing domestic and international grants * Coordinate and assist with pre-grant evaluations and ongoing grant monitoring activities * Coordinate and liaise with KPMG offices worldwide that support GGP in grant expenditure evaluations, pre-grant evaluations, and other financial aspects of grant-related activities * Assist with internal administration such as client billing, financial management, and project tracking * Stay current on latest industry and philanthropic issues, as well as, tax practices as they relate to our client base * Provide other relevant duties and responsibilities, as needed Qualifications: * Strong financial analysis skills * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field from an accredited college/university * Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills * Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel * Keen interest and experience in philanthropic activities, volunteerism, and non-profit organizations * One year of tax, audit, accounting, or other financial consulting experience KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
