Tax Analyst

 

DuCharme, McMillen & Associates is seeking a Tax Analyst to work in our Sales Use Tax Division for our office located in Atlanta, Georgia (Dunwoody area).  This position is responsible for assisting our experienced tax professionals by performing sales/use tax overpayment reviews and providing general administrative support. 

 

Duties:Locates and copies relevant vendor invoices and other essential documentsReviews client documents relating to sales/use taxes, including invoices, purchase orders, sales/use tax returns and details, sales/use tax audits, etc.Creates schedules of invoices and/or other documentsPrepares and revises spreadsheets for clients utilizing ExcelAssists in generating client reportsResearches and enters data regarding tax exemptions into the computerMakes vendor calls as necessary for refund follow-up Types general correspondence to clients as well as interoffice communications utilizing WordUpdates and maintains client files

 

Job Requirements:This is an entry-level position with prior experience working in a business environment highly desiredCoursework or work experience in accounting is desiredIntermediate to advanced level knowledge of ExcelMust be able to multi- task and be flexibleProblem solving skills desiredMust be detail orientedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to complete work in a highly accurate manner meeting required deadlinesValid Driver’s License as some duties will require the Tax Analyst to travel to client locations
