Tax Accountant (Manager)

Job Responsibilities:

Identify complex tax issues and provide tax planning and expertise to diverse middlemarket client base. Use developed skills in tax consulting process to effectively diagnose, develop and implement solutions for client problems. Lead the research and resolution of complex tax issues with seniors and staff. Effectively manage competing priorities and projects while exceeding client expectations. Manage and communicate effectively with clients. Analyze transactions, formulate taxplanning strategies & perform tax reviews to satisfy the client's business and tax objectives. Responsible for engagement budget, billing, and scheduling. Responsible for developing and motivating engagement staff by providing mentorship, leadership, counseling, and career guidance. Possess the ability and desire to build existing client relationships and to develop and utilize a personal network to obtain new client opportunities. Provide client service and leadership timely and efficiently to fulfill and exceed the expectations of our clients and our employees.

Experience Requirements:

Successful candidate will have significant technical experience with closely-held businesses and their owners. Looking for a ‘hands on individual in both work style and client relationship skills. Real estate industry experience or substantial estate, gift and trust skills a plus. Must have 5-7 recent years experience in public accounting, preferably in a large local/regional or Big 4 firm. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and CPA required.
