Tax Accountant, Direct Path to Management

General Description

This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation and filing of the Company's state and federal income tax returns, as well as in tax research and planning.

Essential Functions

Working with members of Corporate Tax and Corporate Accounting Tax to assist in the preparation of the company's quarterly and annual tax provisions and tax disclosures.

Assists in the preparation of the U.S. federal and state returns

Assists in the development, analysis, and maintenance of tax records for accounting purposes including the maintenance of FAS109 worksheets.

Helps coordinate and communicate the tax department's needed information for tax project completions. This communication could include working with both the organizations domestic and foreign businesses.

Reviews financial statements to identify, communicate and research tax issues.

Assists in calculating and tracking estimated tax payments.

Maintains tax modeling schedules concerning what-if tax calculation analysis as well as projecting potential future taxes and other tax planning as needed.

Assists in other tasks within the tax department, which could include various other tax returns.

Assist with tax audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Accounting

5+  years working in a Tax department.
