Our client, a tax consulting firm headquartered in Columbia, Maryland seeking 0-5 year experienced tax professionals to join their knowledgeable team. As a boutique firm, they offer the opportunity to work on complex tax projects (FAS 109, FIN 48, and Tax Research) for multi-million dollar clients, while learning from some of the best in the tax accounting industry. This small firm has advantages offering complex and challenging tax projects and client interaction to their associates that may not be available with some of the larger firms, which lends itself to the teaching and growing culture. Tax associates have the opportunity to work with their extensive client base, which boasts a blend of publicly held companies and privately owned entities, both domestic and international. The typical successful member of our team is intelligent, a self-starter, willing to work diligently on complex issues, relates well with other members of the team, and is energized by time constraints. Our entry level positions require client interaction and the mastering the tax compliance software system. We expect our employees to be willing to master technical areas through additional coursework both in a degree or continuing education setting. The firm is growing, and the need for competent, intelligent and quick learning individuals is great. The ideal candidate will be passionate about tax accounting, be extremely career motivated and will want to be part of an entrepreneurial team. For the right candidate, this position offers the environment to create a rewarding and successful career with tremendous potential to learn and grow within the tax accounting industry. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, CPA/Masters of Science Tax a plus.
