Supervisor, Financial Accounting



Duties include:

 

·          Internal Reporting –

w         Provide supervision to the Financial Accounting group.

w         Preparation and review of consolidations and financial statements.

w         Supervise the monthly accounting close process.

·          External Accounting –

w         Assist in the preparation and review of SEC reports (10-K and 10-Q’s)

w         Assist in the preparation and review financial data for the Shareholders’ Reports

·          General Accounting –

w         Review and approve journal entries

w         Perform analytical analysis and review of accounting reports

w         Coordination of monthly accounting close

·          Accounting Research –

w         Research and resolve accounting issues

w         Implement new accounting pronouncements.

·          Special projects – Handle as requested by management.

 

Requirements:

 

·          Bachelor Degree in Accounting with typically 6+ years industry related experience, CPA preferred.

·          Knowledgeable and proficient in Financial and Corporate accounting functions.

·          Generally work independently with limited supervision.

·          Recognize problems and identify solutions to most situations.

·          Generate results in a full range of assignments; consultant to subordinates.

·          Minimal consultation and review of work product; routinely provide training and direction to others; recommend workload balancing.

·          Understand and apply GAAP and SEC guidelines; understand the impact of technical and business decisions

·          Interface and coordinate with multiple groups, individuals and disciplines.

·          Communicate, prepare and present results of work; trusted as a team player, work effectively internally across organizational lines; clarify and instruct.
