Student Accounts Coordinator

Overview:Position is responsible for new, continuing and graduated student(s) accounts. Provide students with customer-oriented assistance in handling their accounting responsibilities (needs). Compliment the financial aid/admissions/education departments through consistent and effective communication. The Student Accounts Coordinator must be aggressive, organized, and detail oriented Essential Functions/Primary Duties Collections 1)  Contact delinquent accounts by telephone and written communication2)  Initiate and follow pulling process for active students in order to maintain adequate monthly collections Cash Receipts/Posting Payments 1)  Generate a receipt for each payment received2)  Create a daily batch sheet to include all payments received Monthly billing/Agency billing 1) Mail statements monthly Additional Duties 1)  Meet with new students to insure students understanding of out-of-pocket expense2)  Other duties and special projects as assigned Job Requirements 1)  Associates degree, preferably in accounting or related business field from an accredited university or college; with 2+ years experience in proprietary school collections2)  Proficient in MS Office3)  Ability to work with strict deadlines and time commitments while maintaining attention to detail4)  Ability to communicate professionally and effectively5)  Detail oriented and problem solver with ability to multi-task6)  Excellent Research skills7)  Credit Check required  Company: Delta Career Education Corporation Location: Santa Clara, CA 95051 Job Status/Type: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Occupation: Collections Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Education Level: Associate Degree Company: Delta Career Education Corporation
