POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking an experienced Management Consultant/Strategic Sourcing Manager to provide cost reduction services primarily focused on strategic sourcing and category/supplier management. The strategic sourcing services will focus on a range of indirect spending categories (i.e. operating supplies, information technology, telecomm, etc.). Commodity sourcing experience is a plus. The Service Area works with client senior management to help identify and implement operational improvements that dramatically increase the performance of our clients' business. A broad range of industry and functional knowledge, including supply chain, is desired. Manager will manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for middle market and large companies. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and growing client relationships and leading consultant and client project teams from project planning through execution. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a strategic sourcing manager and management consultant you will be responsible for identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities for clients. These opportunities may include drawing upon your expert knowledge and resources to analyze client contracts and relationships with suppliers. You will understand the internal needs of the client and the external capabilities of potential suppliers. You will implement best practices programs from a total cost and service perspective for clients. The successful candidate will possess detailed knowledge in strategic sourcing, supply chain, accounts payables, procurement systems, auctions, purchasing cards, and supplier management. Project managers must possess excellent communication and skills. They must be able to develop a client needs analysis and design, develop and administer appropriate and advanced vendor acquisition tools (RFQ/ RFP) to meet the client needs. They must also establish competent and agreed upon measurement mechanisms to demonstrate the ongoing success of projects.QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS -Bachelors degree –MBA a plus) -5+ years of management consulting experience with a focus in providing Cost Reduction solutions for clients and/or sourcing/procurement experience in industry -Willingness and ability to travel regionally -Significant Manufacturing industry knowledge/expertise - -Experience using innovative analytical tools, frameworks and approaches to solve problems –Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint) -Experience in database management software (e.g. Microsoft Access) preferred -Ability to build consensus among client stakeholders -Negotiation experience a plusAdditional Information: Travel Percentage: 50%
