State Tax Accountant

Growing Company in Deerfield, IL seeks a State Tax Accountant.



SolomonEdwardsGroup, LLC is an expanding provider of non-attest professional services in the areas of: accounting operations; risk and regulations, including tax; resource management and business performance. Through our 8 offices, we serve clients all over the country, including many of the Fortune 500. We are currently seeking Tax Professionals for immediate openings.



The responsibility of the Tax Professional is to dedicate their talents to participating in the expansion of our tax services business. In this high visibility position, you will consult on tax issues in all areas of corporate tax compliance as well as provide sound practical solutions and a superior level of satisfaction to our clients.



The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with all aspects of corporate tax compliance. The successful candidate will be a high achiever with 3-5+ years of tax experience in a public accounting environment (preferably Big Four) and/or in-house Corporate tax department focusing on federal and state income tax compliance and planning. Requirements:



Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance



3-5+ years experience with federal and state income tax compliance



Supervisory experience preferred



Big Four tax experience and/or industry knowledge preferred



Strong tax software skills required (CORPTax or InSource preferred)



CPA, MST designations a plus



Ability to work effectively with all levels of professionals required



A strong focus on client service and communication required
