Staff to Senior Accountant at premier Consumer Prod firm
Leading multi-billion $$ Consumer Products firm with HeadQuarters in NY seeks staff to senior level accountants for a rotational Finance program, starting with SAP integration work. Excellent opportunity to join a publicly traded firm with tremendous benefits and career growth. Responsibilities include:- Assist in the development of a detailed work plan to determine resources and tasks necessary for all phases of SAP implementation.- Work with process teams to identify and communicate business process changes.- Manage business requirements and ensure appropriate follow-up is performed to resolve outstanding issues.- Ensure controls (including SOX Key Controls) are reviewed and agreed to with business owners.- Participate in weekly meeting with Functional Integration Lead to ensure goals and milestones are being met.- Partner with business Subject Matter Experts to provide support and assistance through all phases of implementation, including user acceptance testing.- Ensure appropriate and relevant metrics are established.Qualifications:Bachelors degree.-2-5 years accounting/finance/control experience, Big 4 experience a plus.- Substantial experience in at least one of the following: sales order management; purchase order management; fixed assets; general ledger; financial reporting (especially joint venture accounting, consolidations & financial closing); accounts receivable; demand planning, production order management and inventory management; sales promotion/marketing expenditures, SOX controls.- Proficient in Excel and MS Office.- SAP experience and/or system implementation experience preferred.- CPA preferred.- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
