Staff / Senior Accountants Summary
A local financial services firm seeks ambitious accountants for multiple divisions of the firm. There is a wide range of complexity depending on the role.
Minimum Staff / Senior Accountants Responsibilities for Lower Levels Prepare journal entries for monthly closings. Assist business units with month end closing functions, which includes research of receivable details and preparing data queries. Maintain Accounts Receivable sub-system. Prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly and/or annual) financial statements for management review. Work with others (i.e. respective finance/accounting departments) to jointly prepare periodic account reconciliation. Write reports using financial accounting systems. Respond to inquiries from management, auditors and regulatory agencies regarding accounting policies, procedures and problems. Assist with the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures as well as administering existing policies and procedures. Document internal operating and control procedures. Assist with the design or update of management information systems or databases. Assist in the training and/or direct work of assigned professionals on specific assignments. Perform other projects as assigned.
