Staff Assistant/Business Manager
Department of Mathematics & Statistics
Position Summary: Responsible for the overall fiscal management of all state, non-state, trust, RTF, grant and contract accounts for the general operation of the business office functions within the Department of Mathematics & Statistics. This individual will manage and supervise all sources of funds, have authority to approve purchase orders, maintain a computerized financial system, prepare comprehensive budget reviews and projections, provide assistance with grant preparation administration and grant budget proposal preparation.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field and 2-3 years of experience or Associate’s degree with 3-5 years of experience. Experience should include responsibility for significant budgets, budget analysis and projections, equipment acquisition and accounting procedures. Computer skills necessary for fiscal administration, including knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Hiring Salary Range: $38,500 to $48,100
Normal Starting Salary: $38,500 to $43,300.
