Staff Accountants who want a chance to shine!

Well, our client has truly grown their practice over the last ten plus years, and they are constantly looking at new ways to add to their revenue and profit streams. Being a service based company, they are not affected by rising oil prices and much of the “doom and gloomâ€� you read about in the newspapers. The environment is one that fosters growth, and this position is no exception. They need an aggressive-minded Accountant to join their organization at the Staff Accountant level. This person will report to the Assistant Controller and be responsible for some of the “not so glamorousâ€� aspects of accounting, such as accounts payable and receivable, in order to allow the hire to learn the different aspects of their business, and not be overwhelmed from day one. More exciting duties include performing some financial report analysis, assisting with the month end close, and gaining exposure to forecasting and budgeting as your skills develop. Requirements include a four year degree in Accounting, the willingness to work on all areas of the financials (not just the fun ones!), and at least two years of general accounting experience. This position requires some overtime, so people who are interested in only collecting a paycheck and leaving every day at 5pm need not apply.
