Staff Accountant in Manufacturing Industry Desired

DSE, Inc. an established manufacturing company has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant.  The position will perform the following: Preparing financial reports Performing variance analysis Preparing monthly journal entries Assisting with month end close Communicating financial results to other departments Assist Cost Accountant Prepare all payroll tax forms for multi-statesPayroll analysisPrepare Fixed Asset reports Ensure timely and accurate financial data. Continually review, challenge, and change accounting processes to develop “best in classâ€� accounting. Ensure compliance with GAAP, Standard Accounting Manual, and other Company policies and procedures. Excellent communication skills. Excellent analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Access is preferred. Handle special projects as needed Flexibility to adjust work load and hours when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field strongly preferred, or demonstrated equivalent work experience.

·  Minimum of 2 year experience in financial analysis work required.

·  Minimum of  2 years relevant work experience  as a Staff Accountant or higher

·   Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills preferred.

·  Knowledge of General Accounting Principles.

·  Strong planning and organizational skills.

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

·  Previous experience with government contracts accounting functions a plus
