Staff Accountant - Sales and Use Tax

Senior Treasury Coordinator in the Accounting/Finance department of our client's Hauppauge location. Process monthly sales and use tax returns, keep all software and tax rates current and amend prior returns as required. This position will maintain all rules and matrix for state and local taxability of products. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the maintenance and filing of all business licenses/permits for company and assist department with other various tasks. The ideal candidate will be self motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment, must be detail oriented and able to work independently. Must be a good problem solver and able to multitask. A strong knowledge of sales and use tax as well as third party tax software required. Additional requirements include a working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Outlook, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and ability to work with all levels of staff in the organization.
