HighlightsAIG Job ID: 42821Position Type: Not IndicatedLocation: TX-HoustonRelocation: NoEducation: BachelorsExperience: 1-2 yearsDescription: Overall responsibilities of department:•Provide fund administration for all 150 plus mutual funds•State Street Bank calculates daily NAVs•Fund Administration is responsible for following SEC filings•Annual and semiannual shareholder reports, NCSRs and NSARs•Quarterly N-Qs•Annual 24f-2 filings•Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly internal reporting•Quarterly Board Reporting•Coordinate monthly, quarterly and yearly fund distributions •Coordinate annual audits with outside auditors and financial printers•Prepare quarterly IRS/SEC diversification tests•Review security valuations •Provide oversight of SSB, review various daily, weekly, and monthly reports •Responsible for the accrual and payment of all fund expenses•Extensive interaction with various departments/entities (audit firms, custodian/accounting agent, transfer agent, compliance department, legal department etc.)Staff Accountant Responsibilities: •Primary responsibility is to prepare quarterly shareholder reports (financial statements) for SEC filings•Daily, weekly, monthly review of State Street Bank, the funds accounting agent and custodian•Preparation of various monthly, and quarterly internal reports•Preparation of quarterly board of director materials•Preparation of monthly expense accrual analysis worksheetsRequirements:•4 year accounting/finance degree•Ability to multitask•Good written and oral communication skill•Strong analytical skills About AIG: American International Group, Inc.
