About the Position:
We are searching for a talented Staff Accountant to fill a permanent position. This is a career opportunity with high-visibility & partnership potential. The ideal candidate will come directly from another public accounting firm. The staff accountant is responsible for tasks including: preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, preparation of all types of tax returns, general ledger analysis, various account/bank reconciliations, performing common audit procedures and tax research.

The successful candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 3+ years of current public accounting experience. CPA licensure or candidacy is a plus. This position also requires the following:

· Experience performing audits, reviews, compilations and write-ups
· Ability to prepare financial statements
· Ability to prepare tax returns - individual, corporate, partnership
· Knowledge of sales and payroll tax a must
· Knowledge of Prosystem FX and BNA a plus
· Knowledge of Quickbooks, Peachtree, Word and Excel a plus

**This position requires the candidate to have a car.

This position is based in Great Neck, NY.
