Staff Accountant - CALM

  Purpose of Position

 

Responsible for project work, primarily focused on bringing on additional accounting work into the manufacturing accounting center in an effective and efficient manner.  Also this position is designed so that the individual can be promoted to a department manager by getting training via project work, working with other employees and self-motivated training.

Education/Training/Experience

 

1.  Undergraduate degree in accounting or related field, CPA certification or in the process of obtaining certification

2.  Minimum two to three years experience in accounting environment

3.  Experience with various accounting computerized systems including Excel.  Business Objects experience a plus.

4.  Strong written and oral communication skills

5.  Strong self-motivation and outstanding organizational skills1. 

 

Responsible for developing and documenting clear, streamlined procedures for new processes. When determining the best approach to bringing in additional work, a continuous improvement mentality is essential.  Taking initiative, having the ability to work independently, and ability to learn quickly are all important skills to accomplishing this function.
