Accounting Officer / Staff Accountant

Qualifications Solid Accounting background required. Accounting experience with a Financial Institution preferred. Working knowledge of computer and general office machines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel required. Knowledge of ITI banking software a plus. Must be organized and able to multi-task. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision to meet multiple deadlines. Knowledge of monthly G/L closing process preferred. Knowledge of payroll processing preferred. Display a professional image. Adhere to established policies and procedures

Duties Daily operation of Fedline activities Daily cash position calculation Public funds reporting FR2900 reporting Account reconciliations Maintenance of prepaid and accrued expense ledgers Bank reconciliations Fixed asset management Input/auditing journal enries Back-up Accounts Payable Monthly department certifications Monthly G/L closing process Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements Write and maintain department desk procedures Other duties as assigned
