Staff Accountant / AR Coordinator

We specialize in inbound cargo from Asia to the United States. We also can take care of export needs and air freight shipments. Job Description:We are an exciting and growing Ocean Transportation Intermediary, also known as N.V.O.C.C. or freight forwarder in Los Angeles, CA. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, hardworking team member who is able to work independently in a fast paced yet comfortable environment. Team members must have excellent computer skills, be extremely organized, responsible and detail oriented. Accounting experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable is necessary and some experience with preparation of Financial statements and payroll is helpful. Must be able to prioritize and manage time wisely. Experience with credit approval, receivable monitoring, Accounts Receivable is also necessary. Position may also involve some Accounts Payable as well. The candidate should be persistent with the ability to follow up and be proactive in identify and resolving problems in a professional and timely fashion. Team member must be a “people person� with outstanding communication skills, with the desire and ability to develop a friendly working relationship with co-workers, customers, vendors, brokers and all other contacts involved in the supply chain. The candidate can also be asked to work on different projects as needed and help Management with all necessary managerial functions. Opportunity for advancement is available. Job Requirements:Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in Accounting. At least 1-3 years of experience in Accounting required in a related Logistics / Forwarding company (Preferred).
