Description
QLogic, a leading supplier of high performance storage networking solutions has an immediate opening for a Senior Financial Analyst. In this position, you will interact directly with Management in multiple departments to obtain the input necessary to prepare budgets, forecasts, accruals and payments, and to communicate progress in achieving the forecasts.
1. Work with functional management team members to develop detailed operating plans for the departments, measure performance versus the plan, identify areas where corrective action and/or attention from the management team is required, and partner with department managers to drive spending efficiencies.
2. Communicate functional area operating results and forecasts to Senior Management.
3. Evaluate and approve, as appropriate, all capital expenditures, hiring and expense plans for your functional area departments.
4. Responsible for global consolidation and reporting on headcount and capital expenditures.
5. Act as liaison with the Accounting department during the monthly close process ensuring that expenses are classified correctly and necessary accruals are made during the close process.
6. Act as the support person on all financial and accounting issues for the functional area departments.
7. Prepare ad hoc analysis supporting various analytical projects related to operations, manpower, capital, expenses, and other special projects as required.Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in a business, finance, accounting, or related field and a minimum of 5 years related experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and clearly present information to Senior Management.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload. Very strong Excel skills required. Proficiency in Hyperion Planning and Essbase, and Oracle applications a plus. Experience in a high-tech or manufacturing environment a plus.
