We currently have an opening for a Accountant - Accounting & Financial Reporting in our Chicago office.

Role Purpose:

This position is responsible for the support of all premium tax reporting and quarterly payments. Also, supporting all accounting activities associated with the close and consolidation of the Company´s consolidated financial statements. This position reports to the head of Accounting and Financial Reporting.



Job Responsibilities: Responsible for all premium tax reporting and payments Responsible for all monthly legal entity close submission activities Main point of contact with the states for all regulatory fees and taxes Identify and recommend modifications to existing workflow or resource allocations Archive records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements

 

Job Requirements: Bachelor´s Degree in Accounting3+ years of relevant experience   Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry and insurance accounting principles Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and Statutory/GAAP regulation Experience with SAP/Cognos or PeopleSoft desired Actions reflect a high degree of integrity and ethics
