Sr. Accountant - Sugar Land

The BTS Team (BTS) is a premier and diverse company, providing efficient and professional services  to our clients and business partners in the areas of human resources, IT/IS consulting, procurement and accounting.  We have an immediate need for a Senior Accountant for our Sugar Land, TX office.

 

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Reports to:  Assistant Controller

 

 

Job Summary:

This position performs senior level accounting functions including cash reconciliations, bank reconciliations, fixed assets reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations and assists with special projects for multiple companies

 

Job Functions:

· Prepare various monthly closing journal entries

· Responsible for data entry of journal entries into accounting system

· Monthly bank reconciliations for multiple companies

· Monthly fixed asset reconciliations for multiple companies

· Monthly general ledger reconciliations

· Cash reconciliation for multiple companies

· Applying cash receipts for multiple companies

· Assist with posting journal entries to accounting system

· Assist with preparation for external auditor’s annual year-end audit

· Assist with special projects  

 

 

Skills/Abilities Required:

· Minimum 2 years accounting experience  

· Experience with general ledger

· Experience with bank reconciliation and fixed asset reconciliation

· Advanced knowledge of Excel

· Must have good communication skills

· Extremely organized, detail-oriented

· Accuracy is essential for this position

· Willing to undertake additional responsibilities when necessary

· Team oriented and able to work independently

· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) a plus

 

Education:

· College degree in Accounting
