Software Product Specialist - Microsoft Dynamics

SUMMARY

We are actively seekng a Software Product Specialist for a permanent position in Memphis, TN.  The Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) Consultant’s work is primarily the implementation and technical support of the Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) accounting software product.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The consultant will be a part of a Dynamics implementation team. The position entails training and solving problems for clients at their site on Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) accounting software.  Applicant must have excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem solving skills. Daily travel in the Memphis area is required, as is some out-of-town travel. The consultant will analyze business requirements and assist in the design and development of the application to meet the customer's requirements.

Install Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) software and associated updates as needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

A college degree with a major in accounting or a degree in computers or related subjects is preferred.  A solid knowledge of Dynamics GP (Great Plains) version 9.0 or 10.0 with an understanding of the core accounting modules. General ledger, Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets, SOP, and POP. Knowledge of any third party products a plus.

 

This person will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing support as it relates to Dynamics GP (Great Plains) software, which also includes some third party products.  Knowledge of SQL 2000, SQL 2005, and SQL queries would be a plus. Qualified consultants should have knowledge of the Microsoft Sure Step Implementation methodology.
