null • The Executive in this position oversees and manages the Production Services area within Business Technology Services at LPL. Will participate in the Senior Management team of Business Technology Services, providing sound views on vision, strategy and governance. Responsibilities include: Technology Infrastructure Architecture, Technology Infrastructure Engineering, Data Network Telecom - Voice, Data Center Operations, Change and Release Management, Information Security, Help Desk, Desktop support and Problem and Incident Management. The SVP Production Services position has 120+ employees in several locations across the country and is responsible for an annual budget in excess of $30 million. • Managing the Technology Infrastructure of LPL by providing service on 7x24x365 basis, with high availability targets in excess of 99.85%. • Direct and supervise the data center strategy, architecture, services, and operations that meet the company's business goals. • Ensure availability, security, and reliability of systems and networks in the production data centers. • Engineer innovative technology solutions in support of new application implementation projects. • Provide experience with implementing and leveraging enterprise service management tools. • Develop and implement robust incident and problem management procedures. • Lead Executive, Client and Employee Communication Activities during information technology incidents. • Organize service monitoring and incident responses for the production services, and provide direct leadership in the event of service outages. • Enhance and manage all operating controls and operational procedures necessary to achieve SOX and SAS-70 compliance. • Lead Change Management and Release Management, partnering with Applications Development and Quality Assurance. • Financially skilled technology veteran with the ability to formulate and make budget while always looking for core efficiencies. • Lead capacity planning for all aspects of the IT infrastructure to ensure that the technology infrastructure keeps pace with the company's business growth. • Direct the operational relationships with technology vendors and service providers. • Participate in due diligence and acquisition support activities, evaluating operational and financial aspects of other companies' information technology. • Work with development engineers to maintain and enhance infrastructure and policies for deployment of software and content into the production environment. • Develop and maintain staffing strategy, including enhancing the team's technical skills and developing new managerial and leadership talent. • Maintain and improve a comprehensive Service Level Metrics program to collect and report internal and external Service Level Agreements. • Ensure that a sound Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan is maintained and tested. Financial: • Ensure sound financial management of Production Services, managing within the specified budgets, currently forecasting future expenditures and creating accurate estimates for project solutions. • Continuously improve productivity in the area, finding innovative ways to reduce operational and capital costs and improve the efficiency of the team and utilization of capital assets. • 15+ years of demonstrated experience and success in a technical infrastructure leadership position of comparable size and complexity to LPL, covering data center, network, and desktop operations. • Proven experience in Information Security, implementation of an operational control environment, preferably with experience in SAS-70 and SOX compliance. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, quick decision making environment. • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the most senior business executives of LPL. • Rigorous, structured and process oriented. Preferably with knowledge of ITIL process framework. • Demonstrated accomplishments and experience in the Financial Industry. • Excellent problem solving abilities, logical and analytical thinking, ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems. • A genuine leader with a proven ability to build and lead a high producing team.
