Senior Staff Accountant (Master's degree in Accounting and/or CPA required)

Senior Staff Accountant needed for large Accounting Firm on Brickell. 4-6+ years of related experience in public accounting. Large regional firm experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting or Business Administration required. Master’s degree in Accounting and/or CPA required.

The Senior Staff Accountant position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating procedures involved with the consolidation of corporate and operational financial activity in addition to the management of month-end and daily corporate accounting activities. This position performs general accounting tasks, report preparation and ensures that assigned accounts are managed in accordance with GAAP standards, federal, state/agency accounting procedures, and appropriate internal controls. The Senior Staff accountant uses accounting skills at the full proficiency level to analyze and resolve nonstandard accounting transactions, and independently initiate appropriate corrections into client accounting records.  Staff Accountants interact with internal and client staff to explain accounting policies and procedures and resolve accounting discrepancies and disputes.
