Senior Project Accountant - Newly Created Position! $60-67k + Bonus!!

My client is a large fast growing company and they are searching for an individual who will be responsible for the project accounting for installation services and professional services.   The project accounting includes recording revenue under SAB104, and analyzing related project expenses for proper classification, and recording in accordance with SOP 81-1 “Accounting for Performance of Construction-Type and Certain Production-Type Contracts�.   This person will manage the completion of  day to day transaction driven activities allowing him/her to focus on maintaining current revenue recognition files, communications with external auditors and other internal groups, and creating efficient processes in retrieving data from Oracle and Hyperion.   Required: Bacholers Degree in Accounting  ·        Manage own workload against deadlines·        Provide Guidance and Efficient use of Current Information Systems·        Insure the Accurate Reporting of Day to Day Activity of Revenue and expense Related Transactions·        Create Detailed Spreadsheets / Adhoc Analysis·        Complete Journal Entries as needed to Correct or Adjust Oracle Financials·       Analyze Revenue and costs actual results Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
