This role will report to the Controller and be involved with project costing and budgeting, variance analysis, month end close and overseeing the financial portfolios of ongoing projects. Duties: Responsible for all accounting aspects of a select number of operating projects from accounting for and preparation of investor reports, analysis, budgets, lease administration, responsible for audited financial reports & tax returns Responsible for reviewing project records and preparing accruals, journal entries, bank reconciliations and subsidiary schedules. Responsible for monthly investor reports from preparation of the financial portion to variance analysis and communicating results with investors. Responsible for managing on-going projects on a global basis. This includes tracking the terms of loans, equity structures (capital accounts, distribution waterfalls, etc.), and adherence to operating agreements, etc. Responsible for preparation, in a team atmosphere, of budgets for their projects. Preparing reforecasts of financial results of projects at various times throughout the year. Will work closely with Property Management, Asset Management and Construction/Development on all aspects of their projects and will meet with outside parties (investors, lenders, etc.) as an expert on all the financial aspects of their projects. Responsible for review and accuracy of statements and tax returns Prepare governmental reports – income/expense, personal property, etc. Provide financial support for refinancings, sales or acquisitions of assigned projects. Setup and transition of acquisition projects into all aspects of our accounting system.General QualificationsQualified candidates will have a BA in Accounting, Finance or related and 5+ years of experience in a project/contract setting. Strong organizational and communication skills are a must. Proficiency in MS Excel is a must, CostPoint, Impromptu a must. This role will require the ability to produce under pressure with a strong sense of detail, accuracy and cooperation is essential to this position.
