Senior Internal Auditor

Job ID: 96Position Description: The Internal Audit Department has an immediate opening for a Senior Internal Auditor. This position will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of an internal audit plan for CarMax. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Assisting in implementation of Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act;- Performing audits of internal controls, which includes meeting with different departments to understand key business processes and then making recommendations for improvements in internal controls;- Performing store audits under the Compliance and Ethics Program;- Preparing audit reports for review by management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors;- Assisting the external auditors in performing the year-end audit; - Reviewing press releases, 10-Q’s and the annual report; and- Supervise staff internal auditors in the above responsibilities.Position Requirements:The ideal candidate has the following professional experience and qualifications:- Bachelor degree in Accounting- Minimum of 3-5 years of auditing experience with a public accounting firm, preferably one of the “Big 4�- A strong background in internal controls and compliance- Experience with SOX 404 compliance- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently- Leadership qualities, prior supervisory experience in an audit setting preferred- Ability to interact effectively with various levels of management and the operational areas- Innovative problem-solving skills- Excellent time management skills- CPA a plusSignificant retail industry knowledge and experience is strongly preferred..Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 15% Contact Information: Company: CarMax Reference Code: PCK472-734 View all "CarMax" jobs Learn more about CarMax
