Senior Internal Audit Analyst
The Senior Audit Analyst will · Perform complex financial, operational and compliance reviews. Conduct research and provide support in audit planning. · Evaluate effectiveness of controls in mitigating risks and meeting business objectives.· Create and execute test plans to achieve audit objectives.· Conduct effective client interviews to gain information needed to plan and execute audits.· Identify potential audit findings and develop creative solutions and recommendations.· Prepare work papers to ensure consistency between audit objectives, work program, evidence and audit findings. · Ensure audit work is complete, accurate, timely and achieves plan. · Effectively communicate results of audit work in writing by assisting in the documentation of preliminary findings and drafting audit reports.· Assist in monitoring implementations of audit recommendations.· Comply with departmental and professional standards in all phases of audit engagements.· Establish and maintain relationships with client personnel.· Perform SOX and External Audit direct support work.· Follow prescribed training program to obtain and keep certifications current (CPA, CIA, CISA).· Maintain current knowledge of audit and accounting trends and pronouncements.· Train new staff on department policies and procedures. Qualified candidates must possess: · Two to five years experience in public accounting, big Four preferred, or equivalent private sector experience.· Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.· Working knowledge of IIA Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.· Strong accounting and analytical skills with proven ability to apply knowledge.· Proven ability to think critically, identify and raise issues and recommend solutions. · Outstanding interpersonal skills, team player, flexible, self-starter, positive attitude, motivated. · Excellent written/verbal communication skills. · A professional with the desire to motivate, train and develop self and add value to the organization.· Proficiency in MS applications including Excel, Visio and Word.· Knowledge of Oracle Financials, MS Access and/or ACL. · CPA, CIA, CISA or MBA a plus.
