We are currently seeking a Senior Information Technology (IT) Engineer to join us in our Cypress office. KPMG ForensicSM uses computer forensic and data analysis techniques to help our clients detect fraudulent activity and other forms of misconduct. In addition, KPMG LLP, the U.S. member firm, operates the Cypress Technology Center (CTEC), which offers sophisticated technology tools and skilled professionals to help clients reduce litigation costs and risks in the areas of evidence and discovery management and the acquisition, management, and analysis of large data sets. Responsibilities: * Under limited supervision, administer various aspects of the data center * Troubleshoot issues with applications, systems, and networks * Assist end users with Technical Support problems * Manages 500 plus servers in a Active Directory environment, monitoring that each server has 100 percent uptime * Troubleshoot problems with networks, web services, mail services, and overall aspects of an ASP solution * Maintain a broad knowledge of Windows operating system and server class hardware * Monitor system logs and activity on servers and devices * Coordinate with development team to schedule releases of software updates * Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade MS SQL Server in a production environment * Monitor daily health and performance of production databases * Suggest changes to improve performance and reduce problems * Troubleshoots errors and technical support issues * Administer the back-up and recovery procedures * Be the first line of support for end users during non-business hours * Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to various levels of the organization Qualifications: * Four or more years experience in Systems Administration * Three of more years experience in Database Administration (SQL 2000/2005) * Knowledge of TCP/IP stacks and their functionality * Knowledge of basic hardware troubleshooting * Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of Windows Server 2000/2003 * Advanced knowledge of Internet Information Services 5.x and 6.0 * Intermediate knowledge and troubleshooting of MS SQL Server 2000/2005 * Working knowledge of web application security, understanding of vulnerabilities, and countermeasures * Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly * Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information * Ability to follow established policy and procedures * Excellent customer service * Available to work permanent night and weekend shift * Able to work overtime as needed KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
